Crandell’s Enterprises Inc. is pleased to announce our partnership with CCS Resources, LLC which is a certified Training Provider and Continued Education Provider, the Certified Mental Health Technician Course offered through Durham Technical Community College starting September 2018.
During our inaugural class offering, a limited number of need-based scholarships available and awarded.
This course provides the information and strategies necessary for individuals to work in licensed facilities such as mental health homes, nursing homes, hospitals and psychiatric facilities as defined by North Carolina guidelines (27G NCAC 5601 – Supervised Living). These facilities are deemed group living, high-intensity facilities with 24-hour service, including a significant amount of individualized therapeutic or rehabilitative programming as part of the residential placement.
Term: This is a six-week course
Total Hours: 120
Class Dates/Times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10:00 am – 2:30 pm, classroom instruction (4 hours/day with 30 minutes break for lunch), and 6 hours of online instruction.
The last week of this course will include an on-site clinical/practicum from a leading NC provider of the same service with an opportunity for employment upon successful completion.
The Clinical/Practicum: Last week from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm (6 hours/day with a 30-minute break for lunch).

- Upon successful completion of this course, students are encouraged to seek National Mental Health Technician Certification.
